Solar Eclipse Dates 2029

A solar eclipse (Surya Grahan) occurs when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, blocking some or all of the Sun's light. Vedic tradition treats Surya Grahan as an astrologically significant period -- many observe a fast, avoid eating, and refrain from starting new ventures during the eclipse window, with pregnant women traditionally advised to stay indoors. Direct viewing without proper eye protection is never safe, regardless of the eclipse type.
